Ok, so I'm going to give away an observation for all you miners. I
might regret this.

Blue drops from mining nodes on netherwing ledge (which is empty due
to sunwell dailies) have increased hugely.

Previously, about once a week one will drop, all across outlands.. I
think this is true for non netherwing nodes still.

However:

Saturday: 3 dropped
Sunday: 4 dropped
Monday: 6 dropped

This is from the quick run around, gather, booterang, kill the
ravagers, collect the gear and turn them in. Less than an hour each
time, probably quicker.

Its made me a spare 500g in last few days...

Aye, since the patch Nethercite nodes only drop blue gems. I now have more
blue gems than I know what to do with...
Saturday I got 2 blues from one node, then another from the next one. I
also mine any Adamantite node I come across at Netherwing ledge but their
droprate doesn't seem to have been affected.

Oh crap now I have to have my miner finally kill Zuluhed and get over
to the Netherwing area.

You people are very very bad and I should not be reading all these
tempting tasty threads.

Yup, seen that one myself and heard others mention it, keep meaning to
spend more time on Netherwing ledge when I'm done with my dailies.

However, on the flipside... there are NO green gem drops from Outlands
veins, not any type of vein, just none at all. And a lot of people have
seen that based off the forum threads - has anyone here actually seen a
green gem from mining since the patch? I know I havent and I've done the
Nether Residue quest every day I've been online since then :-/

Now that you say it, the only green gems I've seen have been from the
monthly consortium bribe^w benefits. I guess that explains why cut green
gems have gone from 1g each to 10g each on my server in the last week. *

Yup, prices went mad with the new blue pvp gear, which didn't surprise me,
but they've not dropped down to where they were before. It's not the cut
gems that are expensive as much as raw ones though; I'm completely out of
blood garnets and have been for some days now, can't find any on the AH
that aren't a silly price though, just have to hope I get lucky with
prospecting!

And yeah, did some mining earlier, about 100 adamantite, 20-30 fel iron and
50ish Nethercite... got 3 blues (all on Nethercite) and no greens. Hmm.

Hmmmn, you've got a point, the green gems are dropping less from ore
now...

Can't you get them from prospecting lower level ore though?

Fel Iron and adamantite, yeah, but it's interesting that they don't drop
from mining too now, as it's reduced the amount on the market.

I hadn't noticed this, so last night I kept this in mind while I
mined. Not a single green gem. I wonder what the point of this change
was.

On the other hand, perhaps the 40 billion green gems I have stuffed on
an alt . . . somewhere . . . might be worth something on the AH. :P
