You do realize that 70% is a nice percentage increase, but when the
previous weeks sales was 2500, the new week's sales are only 4250,
still less than half of what the GC sold the previous week (12,000)
and 1/15 of what the PS2 sold in the previous week (66,000).

Here's the numbers I was using - from The Magic Box:
http://www.geocities.com/chtang.geo/topten.htm#Sales

System Apr 8 - Apr 14 Total Sales in 2002
PlayStation 2 66,407 1,419,468
GameBoy Advance 38,082 895,671
GameCube 12,362 387,849
PSone 4,217 104,709
XBox 2,532 195,812
GameBoy Color 2,235 58,805
WonderSwan Color 1,980 53,391

Just trying to put things into perspective.

In article <aasmph$e9p$1...@newsg4.svr.pol.co.uk>, tra...@BaldyBastard.co.uk says...

Unless things have changed recently, I don't think there's a return policy in Japan for game
hardware. I KNOW there isn't for software and accessories. You buy it, you BOUGHT it. Don't
like it? Tough!

But all is not lost. Even though they can't return the box, at least they can find
other uses for it. Japanese apartments are so small, they could probably use the XBOX as a
space heater on those cold Hokkaido winter nights if they leave it on. The power light would
also double as a nightlight! Bonus!

Actually, MS Japan allows customers to return their Xbox to MS customer
service, not to retailers.
