Hi everyone. I've been lurking for a while, trying to gather as much info as
possible, and assembling a pretty decent team. I know of the box trick, and
these all have been boxed fully, I also have stadium2 for the move relearning
stuff.

Mewtwo
Psychic
T-wave
Safeguard
Recover
@Miracle Berry

This is my starter, by first setting up safeguard, then begin paralyzing. This
is also my main (but not only) Machamp killer, as there are many in my area.
Considering safeguard however, I'm not quite sure if I should have 2
safeguarders, or 1 heal beller...any ideas?

Skarmory
Steel Wing
Drill Peck
Whirwind
Swagger
@???...probably Leftovers or something...

This is my favorite pokemon of the new G/S pokes. I'm not sure about the item
for this one, but this is mainly to deal with Curselaxes. It can take a fully
charged Double Edge then Whirwind them away, this is also a pseudo-hazer.
Swagger is more of a filler really, to confuse some special attackers and such.

Quagsire
Safeguard
Earthquake
Surf
Haze
@Bitter Berry

This is my answer to the many DeathStars around. Switch him in, then they'll
try to confuse me. I'll then set up safeguard and pound away with earthquake.
Surf and Haze i'm not really sure about. I also ready have Skarmory to do same
thing, but still... I was thinking of Amnesia, but seeing how grass is gonna
kill it eventually, I didn't think it would be worthwhile. I have some
alternatives to this pokemon, at the bottom of this post.

Machamp
Rockslide
Cross Chop
Earthquake
Light Screen
@Black Belt

Yeah, I know I try hard to kill Machamp, but it's still a good pokemon. If i
can pass on a safeguard to him, he should be able to operate even better.

Snorlax
Curse
Earthquake
Double Edge
Rest
@Mint Berry

Standard, I know...but it's my old favorite pokemon. You know how it
works...no explanation needed.

Now...my last spot is pretty up in the air, I have 3 pokemon to fill this spot,
and I'd like your help to try to help me choose.

I have the standard cussbreon to deal with Mewtwos, but I think Snorlax can
pretty much cover that. I also have a
Dragonite
Outrage
Haze
Safeguard
Thunderwave

This pokemon used to replace quagsire, and i'm somewhat leaning towards that
way...getting Quagsire out of there, put Dragonite here, and put in something
like a Cursegia or Cussbreon as my final...but then i realized i have NO
elemental sweepers.

I'm really not sure what to do concerning Quagsire, and my 6th spot. The rest
of my team is working pretty well, however, and i'm very satisfied w/ the
Mewtwo, Skarmory movesets.

I know it's a pretty long post, but if you can rate my team, please be
harsh...I need some assistance.

Thanks for all your help.

Don't get rid of Quagsire

I'd go with Ice Punch over Surf, you have the chance for freeze, and can
kill most grass types in one or two hits. Ice is also good against gruound
and rock, like Surf. The only difference is you have lower power or type
matching bonus, and have nothing to hurt steel with.

Mewtwo as a starter...eeehh...I've seen it done, but I've never liked
it. IMHO, he's a damn strong linebacker and should be nothing else.

Two Safeguarders is plenty, but it depends on how much you need to
avoid state changes. I'd stick with one Safeguarder or one Heal Bell
user.

Leave him as is. I'm a Skarmory fan as well ^_^.

Grass isn't really viable in GS, so Amnesia is a decent option. If you
ask me, he shouldn't be without it. Again, Quagsire's another Pokemon
I have a hard time justifying as a Hazer, and I doubt he'd be able to
doa ll that much against Death Starmie without Amnesia. I'd also lose
the Bitter Berry for something, possibly a power-enhancer.

Yeah, if you need a Hazer more than a bunker then I'd go with the
Dragonite. That'll also free up your last spot for a power-Poke, Ho-Oh
would be my choice if you're not going to change the Mewtwo's moveset.

As for the Dragonite's moveset, IMHO Outrage is only useful (extremely
useful, that is) if Dragonite's loaded down with some heavy defense as
well. I reccomend Twave/Ice Beam, DT, Rest and Outrage for a
stall-like-hell moveset (Twave for people who switch away from
PPwaste, or Ice Beam for Hazers), but I know that's not what you're
after.

For your support Dragonite, I'd go with Surf over Outrage. It's a
versatile attack, won't stop you from switching in-and-out as support
Pokemon do, and might help you out against Marowak if you can hit ti a
few times beforehand.

>...but then i realized i have NO elemental sweepers.

Well, personally I'd be using Mewtwo for that...

The main problem I can see with this team is an inability to kill the
power-Pokes. Mewtwo might go down to Snorlax, but would the latter be
able to go up against a Ho-Oh?

Things could be improved if Mewtwo had Thunderbolt over Safeguard, but
then you'd probably be forced to use Dragonite as your opener, which
leads on to your deployment problem. A lot of your Pokemon are
purpose-built or too valuable to throw out in the open. Something nice
and solid to take the heat off the most specialised members of your
team, like a Kingdra (which could also help out against the
power-Pokes) might be useful.

It depends on your style, really. Your team is fairly well
thought-out, but you need to think about how you're going to deploy
your Pokemon, what kinds of countermeasures you can do without (I see
that this team's attempted to counteract a lot of stuff, at the price
of versatility), and more importantly, what you want out of it.

Fine, nothing much to say about it really.

Yeah, I've been using Skarm for ages and it 0wns. The trouble is, although
it can take a Double-Edge from a fully cursed Snorlax, it still can't deal
that much damage to it. I've been experimenting with Curse on Skarm for a
while, and it looks fairly promising. The only downside is no Steel Wing,
because Rest is pretty much a necessity with Curse. Although Skarm needs
more defence like I need a swift kick in the nads, it could really do with
the attack boost and its speed isnt that great to start with.

Bear in mind if you switch in Quag on Starmie he's going to get two shots at
confusing you. The first will take your bitter berry out, then he goes again
and you set up a Safeguard. Quag can't stand up to much Surf damage either.

Standard, but for a reason. Fine.

Yup, standard.

Outrage/Safeguard isnt worth it. With Dragon attacks stupidly coming off the
Special stat you're better off with Wing Attack and something like Surf
instead of Outrage and Safeguard.

Mewtwo is the very definition of a special sweeper. And I think
Curse/Screech/Body Slam/Rest is far better than the standard Cussbreon
(props to TTS here) seeing as Cussbreon doesnt have anything to deal with
fellow Cursers, and can't hurt Rocks/Steels much either. Cursing Lugia is a
bitch. If you're really after an elemental sweeper, take Pory2.

Good if you see a lot of status changes, but otherwise consider TBolt or IBeam
over Safeguard.

Skarmory owns, it is true. You should consider Sandstorm over Steel Wing IMHO.

I guess. I don't know how to use Quagsire.

Kingdra, as previously mentioned, would round this team off nicely(and increase
the number of standards, but..), although you have a few good tanks already.
Consider a cursing Lugia. The one I came up with is Curse, Earthquake,
Aeroblast, and Recover.(Leftovers attached)
