PORT HOPE -A driver who had already been issued a speeding ticket
yesterday didn't help his cause when he gave a police officer the one-
fingered salute.
The speeding driver was initially pulled over near Port Hope and charged
with travelling 135 km/h on Highway 401.
As he was pulling back onto the highway he gave Constable Bettina Schwarze
of the OPP's Highway Safety Division the "Pierre Trudeau salute," so she
pulled him over again and handed him a $110 fine for using an improper
hand signal.

That arrogant bastard gave the one finger salute to protesters who were
alongside the rail track as his train drew through Salmon Arm. Had a beer
with a couple of the locals there last week. They have not forgotten and
words like "rot in hell" were very prominent in the conversation. Nice to
meet kindred sprits on a road trip. ;-)
