For the same reason as Bugs Bunny is as tall as a human being: Because it
helps the story work.

Gee, I could appeal to your common sense...
I figured everyone could use a laugh. ;) Sirius-ly, though, the
composition wouldn't work if the animals were their right sizes. The
rabbits would be twice the size of the frogs, and then the picture's throw
off.

Oy, tell me about it. I liked Teen Wolf's originals because they *didn't*
turn it into a slasher picture. You had a guy who happened to be a
werewolf. No psychotic moonlit rages, no infectious lycanthropy, no Lon
Chaney, Jr.-style angsting... just a good, fun picture.
I haven't even bothered to watch it. And that's a decision that's unlikely
to change.
I'm bettin the writers did take a lot of "inspiration" from that 80's
series though...btw, the "alpha" is the only one who undergoes a full
transformation. the kids merely do a modern version of Michael Landons
teenage werewolf concept. plot summary: the infected kids have to kill
the alpha to remove the curse. and thats straight outta the 80's series
storyline...I'm jus sayin...SCORZENI!!!!!!!!
