designer, retiree, artist, painter, sculptor, maker of wondrous
things, role model, hero, and friend James Merle Callison, aged 91,
passed away in his sleep, in the company of his two surviving
children." --Huey Callison, grandson

From Huey's stories, he was a fine man and left the world a better
place for his being here.

I'm sorry for your loss, Huey.

What Shirley quoted stands on its own as a nice one sentence
obituary.

When someone like that dies, grief can be put aside for
a bit by grateful recognition that we were able to have that
person around.

I take it this is the guy that Huey wrote that wonderful post about a
few years ago - about remembering the Greatest Generation and retelling
their stories.

A huge loss indeed.
