I have one of those "toys" that swing back and forth 'forever' helped by a
magnetic field created by a coil and a transsistor connected to a 9V
battery. It stoped swinging; the coil seems to be OK, so I want to replace
the transistor. It has the following printed on its face, in three lines as
I show next:

LC
945P
M140

What's the transistor's type: LC945P, 945P, M140? Where can I order one?

Thank you

Use any low power NPN transistor.

Consider using an ECG85. It is listed as a replacement for the LC945P. You
should be able to find ECG parts in most electronics supply places.
