I purchased a copy of it for about $10 at local discount store (can't
remember which).

It's a "cute" comedy (PG-13) with lots of 70's paraphenalia. Stars David
Cassidy and features Rob Reiner, Julie Brown, and Tommy Chong. Not only
is it a 70's send-up, but it's also a send-up of the Bicentennial. It's
got Kung Fu fighting, Twister, happy faces, est, and The Hustle.

You can get it for $80 here:
http://www.videoexpress.com/bin/webquery/3ulMZLwhF0Vf?part=17323
Or here for $20:

Or check out the other online video stores here:

Anybody got any tips for me on getting my hands on a video of this

movie? I went to Blockbusters, Wherehouse, and a small mom & pop video
store and none of them had it. For those that never heard of it, it is
a movie about the 70's and has a lot of 70's musical stars and culture
in it.

features david cassidy, and leif garrett along with Devo.. Thomas Chong, Iron
Eyes Cody, Moon Zappa and Carl And Rob Reiner.. Made in 1991.. As yet it is
unavailable on Video.. But, supposedly there is a cd soundtrack available
which i have been unable to find yet, I suppose its something you need to
special order..

I have that movie at my video store. Let me check with my distributor and
see if I can get a copy of it for you. It was a fun movie. I suggest it to
anyone who grew up in the 70s.

Lie! Falsehood! Untruth! Fib! Inaccuracy! Misstatement! Myth! Defamation!
(I just bought a new Thesaurus today) Anyway, it IS available on video. I
have a copy. :) Oh, by the way... everyone...have a great holiday. I
really enjoyed stumbling into this newsgroup and meeting all of you. Hope
the new year is wonderful for everyone.

I have the movie and the soundtrack. I had to special order the Soundtrack
from the music store. It has cool pictures on the cover of an ape evolving
into disco man. It has alot of great songs:

Spirit of '76 - The Dickies
Love's Theme - Love Unlimited Orchestra
Disco Inferno - The Trammps
Boogie Fever - The Sylvers
Turn The Beat Around - Vicki Sue Robinson
Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry
Saturday Night - Bay City Rollers
We're An American Band - Grand Funk
Takin' Care of Business - Bachman-Turner Overdrive
1976 - Redd Kross
The Hustle - Van McCoy
Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas
A Fifth of Beethoven - Walter Murphy

I recorded the movie off HBO. They show it about every 6 months or so.

I can't believe they left off "Pick Up The Pieces" by Average White
Band. That's the song playing during the opening credits. Great tune.

I too was disappointed about them leaving off these songs. They also left
off "Midnight at the Oasis" and "Saturday In the Park"
