Has H.R. Puffinstuff been mentioned?

O'k everybody; follow the bouncing ball...

H.R. Puffinstuff

What do you do when things get rough

H.R. Puffinstuff

You can't do a little and you can't do enough

I may need some help with that last line. Were there any other verses
to that theme song?
The way I see it, Puffinstuff was a kind of 70's Barney.
I used to watch this show as often as I could. I'd love
to see an episode now to get reassured that today's TV is
no worse than anything I grew up with and loved.

Brian

Yup, I also rmember the Old Curiosity Shop. I think that I only saw
it once or twice, but I do remember clocks. this was another kids show
with some funky and sometimes loud sound effects.

Other stuff that is surfacing: Sid and Marty Croft and SMC-type shows
that had brief lives:

*the Bugaloos- H.R. Puffenstuff type universe with winged people.
*Land of the Lost- Dinosaurs. Cool.
*sigmund and the Sea Monsters- more SMC
*Lidsville- the theme song is still in my head "Everybody wears a hat,
everbody looks like that... in Lidsville!" basically a few humans in a
universe of walking talking hats.
*the New Zoo Review- Actually I think that I could sing the whole theme
(if I could sing) Had Doug and Emmy Jo (humans) with Freddy the Frog (preteen)
Charlie the Owl (Gilligan's Professor done as a giant owl) and Henrietta
Hippo (hippo with a [bad] southern accent). The three animals were lifesized
muppets and there was always some sort of lesson-in-life involved. And lots
of accoustic guiter and folk-song type singing. I've always wondered if
Emmy Jo ever did any other acting; she was kinda cute.
Of course I always wanted to know: just what was the Old Zoo Review?
*H.R. Puffenstuff-classic. One of SMC's best

And how many of us were on Romper Room (I wasn't, but I was on a local
equivalent).

Yes, far too much of my youth (and adult life) has been frittered away
in front of the tube.

Andrew- still living in 1972.

I remember this, wow. They were aliens lost on earth. If I recall it wasn't all that good
even to a 8 year old.

I remember this one, when it returned after the movie. In fact it inspired the movie if I recall.

Don't forget the Bugaloos!

Mordaxacis is merely the mouthpiece of a large Eastern syndicate. Any

large amounts of unmarked, non-sequential bills of various denominations
