Nice score ..at 1024 resolution.
Try it again in resolutions 1920 and more ..? then it is not in the same
order ...

Now do a Quake 3 benchmark at 1024x1280 32bit and I bet that your
measly DirectX8 optimised (and therefore 3DMark2001) card would
fail dismally when compared to the others. The Kyro2 will be in the
top three.
Real world benchmarks is all that count ! Until we get a DX8 game with
benchmark options built in, quake3 will always be the realworld bench
mark game that matters most.

Everyone on the planet knows that the Kyro2 does not work great on 3dmarks
2001.
However in games in beats my Geforce2 GTS in every programme I have played
inlcuding all recent titles.

Whilst it is nice to compare scores with a benchmark programme they have
little relevance in the real world and should not be seen as such.

The Kyro2 is a very good card and zealots who try and trash it over silly &
pontless benchmark tests do so out of insecurity other than anything else.

the kyro needs a fast CPU, it has no hardware T&L so it relies on the Cpu.

re run all them tests but with athlon optimised, see the difference a FAIR
TEST makes, Youve gave all them results with hardware T&L which will make a
massive boost in scores with a duron 943.

Yes but most of us don't buy cards to run benchmarks on..

In real world use (try a Quake III) it stands up pretty well I think,
considering its main competition at the price are GF2 MX cards.

Yeah but 3DMark2001's replayability sucks, no online multiplayer,
it's a one time shot and to tell the truth, the first level wasn't
very fun.

Uhm... your Radeon LE is pure crap.

Athlon 1.33 ghz

Quake 3 test at 1024X768 32bit:
Geforce 2 Pro - 117.3 fps
Geforce 2 GTS - 102.3 fps
Kyro II - 98.5 fps
Radeon LE overclocked 183/183 - 80.5 fps
Radeon LE normal clocked - 65.8

Unreal Tournament 1024X768 32bit:
Geforce 2 Pro - 101.59
Geforce 2 GTS - 90.65
Kyro II - 85.63
Radeon LE overclocked 183/183 - 83.74
Radeon LE normal - 52.38

Serious Sam 1024X768 32bit:
Geforce 2 Pro - 57.7
Geforce 2 GTS - 49.8
Kyro II - 41.2
Radeon LE overclocked 183/183 - 37.1
Radeon LE normal - 32.8

The sad part is, it's even slower on Win2k.

the kyro II really only starts to shine in higher res, with fsaa. The tile
based rendering system is the real marvel in this card, the kyro II
outperforms its nvidia counterpart(32bit colour of course as the kyro
doens't really do 16bit, renders i 32 for everything then only outputs 16),
i suggest reading the lengthy information on the kyro II from
http://www.tomshardware.com
