Does any one know of a program that will cause the keyboard to make a
sound when keys are used while Caps Lock is on?

I do not mean when Caps Lock is pressed (as can be done through
Control Panel - Accesibility).

I mean something to remind me that Caps Lock is on while I am typing
so as I don't go putting a whole lot of capital letters when I don't
want them.

I know one solution would be to learn to touch type but for now I must
watch the keyboard while typing and not the screen! :-(

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Frank,
Another solution is to disable the CapsLock key:
"CapsLockOff" How often have you wanted to just rip the
Caps Lock key off your keyboard or stuff a wad of paper
underneath it to "hardware" disable it? This way is better... 8^)
~22kb on my Text and Text Utils page.

Enjoy!

Thanks for that "Son of Spy"

But I DO find the caps lock useful at times - that's how it comes to
be on at times - when I forget to turn it off!

Hi
I couldn't find anything that produced a sound...but this might help:

ZDKeyMap by Ziff Davis Publishing Company 58
K
ZDKeyMap adds a property page to the Control Panel's Keyboard applet
that lets you remap all the standard keys on your keyboard. Thus
you can swap the CapsLock and Left Ctrl keys to avoid pressing CapsLock
accidentally, or turn little-used keys on a notebook into other keys
that the notebook may be missing. ZDKeyMap works only with standard
keys; it does not support extended keys.

It's worth a try. I may take this one to work. I'm forver tapping on
and off the num lock key.
