Meanwhile, back in Mobile, National Guard officers wondered where in
the hell George was at, unaware that he was off in a back room in
Dallas, proving his heroism by killing untold numbers of vicious,
white, powdery, enemy lines.

Kerry was over there, what 3 months? And seemed like he was making publicity
stunts for himselves with filming, and marginal purple hearts. Kerry brought
his record up, he should be able to take the scrutiny. The more I I see of what
kind of people are getting into such a hissy fit over Bush, the more inclined I
am to believe it's propoganda. Bush "He's not THAT bad"..LOL Kerry and his
extreme liberalism do not play well at all in the midwest, he fares better in
Boston or San Fransisco.

Kerry had 20 commanding officers??? One of them who actually was one
of his commanding officers publicly stated that he was misquoted and
did not say anything negative about Kerry!

For some reason you don't see Bush having to hire lawyers to squealch
that story though.

Kerry for some reason is actively blocking the ad the swiftboat vets
have made.

Obvious reason, it's true and very damaging to ol' Johnny boy.

You wanna see a Massachusetts Yankee liberal in the White House, Paul
?? There goes about $1000 a year of your 8-tracking money back to the
government in the form of taxes- if Kerry gets in- he already said
he'll roll back the Bush tax cuts.

The Dem party has become the party of the lowlife welfare non-working
sector of America- who vote the Dems in and get their entitlements
from them.

Very well said. His extreme liberalism to not sit well in the deep
South either. It was the South and Midwest that won it for Bush in
2000- even Gore's home state of Tennessee voted for Bush.

If you are a working class person you'd be an idiot to vote for Kerry-
he's gonna raise your taxes cuz anyone who makes more than $10,000 a
year to him, is "rich".

My wife and I paid less federal income tax last year, than Pa. state
income tax-after getting the Bush tax breaks. Think about that.

In the entire time he was in the service, holy cripes there has to be
at least 20 officers up the command chain right ?? How is that so hard
for you to acknowledge ??

There's his immediate commanding officer, then his superior, then that
guy's superior, and so on up the chain of command, all the way to the
President who is the commander in chief.

I can't believe I have to explain the military command system to
someone who actually is a citizen in this country. What did you think,
he had one commanding officer, and that was it ??

There are also people who outranked him and were not his IMMEDIATE
commander, but at the same time he'd have to salute them and take
orders from them. You should stop nit picking and face the facts-
this guy Kerry was and is a slimeball lying bastard.

Think about this:
Gas prices (in California) have increased to over $1.25 more per
gallon
in the last 3 years...(can anyone say 'Collusion with the Oil
Industry'?)You may have gotten your $300 so-called tax cut from
the Bush administration, but they got it all back at the pump, and
more.
Check your math. The Government is not going to give you something for
nothing.
I'm not crazy about Kerry, but Elmer Fudd looks good compared to Bush.

C'mon Malcolm, if Winnard's cat is a good thread, then so is politics
during an election year. Unless you want to see about $1000 a year of
your 8-tracking money go to the government as taxes after Kerry gets
back in- and rolls back out tax breaks.

Remember, if you make over $20,000 a year, you're "rich" and should
pay more taxes according to John Kerry.

Let's stick to the issue and the facts. You questioned the "20
commanding officers" statement I made, in regard to the Swiftboat vets
who are against Kerry- who state he's lying. I explained the
statement. Rather than admit your attack was wrong, you attack from
another angle now- saying it's not 8-track related.

Then why did you chime in on the thread to begin with ?? You disagree
with a statement, then when you are proven incorrect, you say the
thread shouldn't be here.

This proves one thing- you liberal Democrats aren't man enough, to
admit when you're wrong.

This isn't the first thread on this site about something other than
8-tracks, everyone contributes "lobby" type threads from time to time.
This is an un-moderated forum- get used to it. And grow up.

I cannot help but comment on this issue...with a rise in US taxes, this
would correspond with people having less disposable income, therefore
forcing the price of 8 tracks (and everthing else)down as consumers buy
less. However, all this emphasis on tax increases/decreases relating to
personal income will seem relatively inconsequential when the tens
(hundreds?) of billions of bucks of Mr. Bush's expenditures start
rolling into the "U.S. taxpayer must pay" pipeline.

WRONG !! My wife and I got a tax break every year since Bush was
elected. We payed less in federal income tax last year, than Pa. state
income tax. We ended up paying less than $600 in federal income tax
after the tax breaks.

So we ain't "rich".

The Bush tax breaks are for the average working man with a family. By
that I mean the median income level.

Sure, wealthy people save thousands if not millions. They should, THEY
PAY MORE. Some pay millions in taxes, yes, millions $$, with an "M".
So it's only right they should get back more.

They're still paying a mighty shit more than you or I in the long run.

TMy tax breaks equate to more money I had to spend on 8-track tapes
and decks- which I did BTW.

So your post is simply a false statement, nothing more, nothing less.
8-track tapes and decks are now quite cheap and affordable on ebay.
Someone put up an Akai 80D-ss this week for $1- so these items are
quite affordable contrary to what you are saying- even with the tax
breaks- not tax hikes.

ps- a billion $$ to the US Government, is like a nickel in my pocket

Mal,

You make good points and I have taken it into consideration. I usually
don't delve into politics on this site if you've noticed.

But in this case, it's an election year- what do you expect ?? Lighten
up and take heed- Kerry is a Senator from 2 states away here in the
northeast- his own state citizens want him axed cuz he missed 3/4 of
all the votes in the Congress that concern them. He's a typical New
England rich kid that got into politics- and he don't give a damn
about you or I...he only wants to suck off the sytem.

You guys down South don't realize what a louse this Kerry is. Democrat
or Republican- don't friggin' vote for Kerry- you'll regret it- he'll
take a grand more a year from everyone on this site in taxes one way
or another, and give it to lowlife welfare trash in the inner cities
in handouts.

If he gets in you can kiss your disposable 8-tracking hobby money
goodbye...he wanted to put a 50 cent gas tax on top of what it costs
already- to fund programs. So gas now would be 2.50 a gallon instead
of $2- and once that tax goes on gas, it NEVER comes off.

He voted against reducing the price of gasoline too, when Bush wanted
to reduce or eliminate the federal tax on it to help the economy.

Kerry, like the needle and spoon, will "do ya wrong"..
