Just WTF is an "886?" Intel never made such a processor.

>computer from the 1981 era <snip>

There were no "personal computers" in 1981. I was working on "minis"
at the time...H-P 1000-series, Digital PDP-8s and DataGeneral Nova3s.
Leave it to Charlie Nudo aka 66fourdoor to be talking through his ass.
Is that how you always talk, Noodles?

Keep it on the table. The Penna State Tax Board will be by soon. IRS
show up yet? Your case is open.

Archived to prevent Charlie Nudo from deleting his posts on "goo goo
groopz." Another stunning bit of Charlie Nudo idiocy follows:

886? Maybe you're referring to the Intel 80186 that was introduced
around 1981. They did have Home computers in the 1980's they were made
either by IBM or Chinese companies making "IBM Compatibles" and
utilized the x86 architecture.

The IBM PC, known then as the 5150, debuted in '81 using the 8088. It
wasn't marketed as a consumer item really until around '84 or so, and
until then, it was a "business machine" in the truest sense of the
phrase. IBM tried and failed to fill the consumer market with the
inferior PC Jr., with those awful "Chicklet" keys. What were before
the PC-XT/5150, and available for consumers, were the PETs, the Z-80
boxes, Commodores, "Trash-80s" from Rat Shack, the CP/M machines
and....the Apple II. I built a Z-80 box...very useful, if arcane, 8
bit architecture. Once the PC-AT launched in '84, the clones came in
by the boatload shortly thereafter, and some of them offered things
like bigger cases with more drive bays (important, when a "big" drive
was 10 MBytes), three half height bays, and so on. I still have an
AMD K6-III running in one of those old boxes with peripherals galore.
No more AT box compatible boards, though, so that FIC board was the
last to go in before it gets retired. Now, I'm on an Azus with an
Athelon and it's a super board.

The early XT clones were bad stuff, but the AT clones started to
actually outperform the AT in speed and features, for a cheap price.
The Chinese clonemakers beat IBM to market with the first 12 MHz 286
machines by months, while IBM rested on their laurels. Clone service,
though...meaning none. One AT clone that was more expensive than the
AT and was a complete disaster: The Olivetti/AT&T PC 6300+, touted as
a "smooth bridge" DOS/UNIX machine. A joke, and a bad one. Once the
6300+ hit the market, AT&T's marketing stupidity was bared for all to
see and they were eliminated from the PC game forever. Oh, there was
an even worse disaster...the PC 7300, a monstrosity UNIX machine that
had a captive keyboard and was given away by the thousands to
universities and colleges who used UNIX exclusively after they bombed
on the market. Thousands became landfill still in the box. Both of
these boners were the brainchildren of AT&T CEO Bob Allen, probably
one of the worst American CEOs who ever held the title...the "Charlie
Nudo of CEOs," you might say!

The first Intel processor I worked with was the 8008, a 4 bit CPU that
handled a clock, held an ASCII time schedule loaded into RAM,and
interfaced with a BCD reading DAC that did predicted antenna pointing
routines for 105' satellite dishes where I worked. I think it had a
clock speed of 4 KHz, and could take input from either a Teletype or a
1200 baud tape reader. It had 512 B of RAM. The next time I saw an
Intel was in the 5150/XT, and that was the 8088 8 bit chip. The 8086
16 bit chip showed up to me in the first Olivetti/AT&T PC clones in
1986, the most non-standard PC ever built. By that time the 80286 was
the hot thing, along with extended mem and mem paging...woohoo! I
first ran WinBlowz 3.0 on a 286, and realized that Billy Gates had
fucked up once more. 3.0 was sort of like DOS 4.0...nothing worked
right, and when it did, you felt relieved and somehow thankful.

Nothing's changed too much, except for speed. BTW, the Athelons make
dynamite UNIX desktop machines.

Meanwhile, bullshitter extraordinaire Charlie Nudo shows himself to be
a complete moron by saying I have an "886." Intel (nor anyone else)
ever made an "886," Noodles. You've made a complete ass out of
yourself again.

Boob uses strings, glue, and popsickle sticks to get online- and posts
with a "nudesreader"- while he sits alone, divorced, with his sickly,
dying dogs, until 3 AM each morning, trying to stop people from selling
things on Ebay, because he can't afford them

Yoo hoo....dipshit...I don't own a 1979 Honda anything. But I do have
an oldie. BTW, the AC works perfectly, too.

I fill my VW for $11 a tank and it lasts almost a month. Go suck your
tailpipe, Noodles.

What's to "yay" about? Auctions in the toilet...bad rep spread
worldwide...perhaps you should be suicidal by now, Noodles. Go shoot
yourself and do the world a public service.

What a delusional moron. Only thing true in that statement is that
I'm stopping him from selling things on eBay...and it's about to get
worse.

State and Federal taxes owing...Noodles must have an ulcer by now.
