Turn off automated location extensions via the API

Is it possible to turn off automated location extensions for a given customer via the Google Ads API? Basically I want to follow the instructions that are spelled out in the "Automated extensions" section of this help page, specifically turning off "Automated location extensions" by using the Ads API Python client library. https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7170409 

I know that a location extensions are customer feeds that, in my case, are automatically being created and populated by connected Google Business Profiles. Having trouble tracking down where in the API functionality it might be possible to toggle this setting. Thanks for your time.

Moving forward, as mentioned in this documentation, kindly note you can't turn off or turn on automated extensions using the Google Ads API. This is done through the Google Ads UI.
