Adwords API and client backend linking issue | Seeking guidance

Hello everyone,

One of our advertisers is facing a challenge with their Google Ads API which is linked to a report that is being populated in the backend. They want to find the source file in Google Ads account and either change ownership or find a way to delete (if obsolete) from their internal dashboard.

We have details such as client_ID, developer_token, customer ID, etc. and have roped in the Direct help alias - googleadsa...@google.com on the external client thread but it has been unacknowledged for the last 7 days.

Could anyone guide me to a POC from the relevant team for escalation/ resolution at the earliest?

Thanks for posting your concern. Allow me provide support to your concern.

Could you specify the subject of the email that you've sent to us so that I can check it?

Moving forward to your concern, please see my response below for your concern:

• Could you provide more context here "source file in Google Ads account"?
• For "either change ownership", if you want to change the API user account that managing report, then you can choose one of the login user account that has access to the manager account of the client account you want to generate report. The next step would be to generate oauth2 credentials using that login user account, configure it to your client library and generate refresh token. Lastly, generate the report again.
• As for "find a way to delete (if obsolete) from their internal dashboard", if your concern is within your platform, then I am afraid that this is outside of our scope as our team doesn't have access to any platforms where Google Ads API is implemented. You may coordinate with your developers in order to remove the report in your internal dashboard.
