Retrieving keyword statistics

I almost feel stupid for asking this, but is there a way of retrieving keyword statistics other than creating a report and then downloading it?

I googled a lot, but only relevant results I got were either using the report service or traffic estimator service (which is something totally else).

Sure -
You can pull the keyword via the adgroupcriterionservice - and read
the stats from there.
But if you are pulling lots of keywords - the report is much faster.
