Due to a significant decrease in passenger revenues over the past
several months, Valley Connector is unable to meet its financial
obligations and has no other choice them to cease operation.
Coach Service will be provided on both routes to the extent feasible
for the remainder of the January. Vans Service will be used when the
anticipated passenger counts are below 10 on any given day.
We encourage everyone to contact Ride Smart at
540-635-4146. They
provide a free ride-matching service for Northern Shenandoah Valley
commuters by helping connect commuters with similar schedules or
travel patterns. Ride Smart also helps participants identify other
commuting options such as Vanpools and Carpools.
There are few companies that provide lease vans and coordinate van
pool service. Two of the most popular are:
•ABS Vans
703-551-4677 or
540-659-6323
•VPSI
703-329-4001
Those interested in driving a van and coordinating a van pool can
contact us and we will pass your information to everyone. Brett
Chappell has already indicated he is interested in volunteering to
drive a van to McLean.
Passengers who have Smart Benefits transferred electronically are
reminded that they need to change the electronic allocations as Valley
Connector does not have the ability to do so,
Passengers concerned with refunds for unused punch cards should send
your requests in writing to Valley Connector, P.O. Box 69, Linden VA.
The only requests for refunds that will be considered are those
received by U.S. Mail.
Questions and concerns can be sent via email to
in...@valleyconnector.com
We appreciate everyone who has supported the Valley Connector Commuter
Service over the past five years and wish everyone the best of luck in
finding a suitable commuting alternative.
