Ask him/her to login as root using GUI, if he tries, he/she is
whatever you want to say: "Illiterate" or "Badly Trained"
I believe even if you can login with root and can maintain all security then you are good admin.
Do not login with root is for dump users. Because they do not know how to handle the system.
So by accidentally some wrong thing can not be happened. ( when ever you have non root login ).
But if you are enough experience user and know how to handle security even with root login you can login with root.
I do not see any thing wrong.
