In searching this group I found a way to have a new journal with
yesterday's date open up upon opening TW. Is there a way to do the
same but with a new journal with today's date?

Hi Dave,

Bradley's OpenToday does that, in view mode though:

Thanks wolfgang!

That did the trick. Now I have a link in my to-do list TW that opens
my Work Journal TW, which opens with today's date upfront so I can add
what I did each day, yet keep my to-do list from getting cluttered
with such things.

You can also get much the same effect without using any plugins by
starting TW with a link like this:

file://mytw.html#newJournal:YYYY0MM0DD

Now THAT's just beautiful! It even opens it in edit mode!

One issue though; can it be tagged with something, e.g 'journal'?
I do know it can have additional name content, but tags?
(I'm hoping to be able to use <<tagglyTagging [[journal]]>> to get a
perfect listing...)

(BTW, I did not get the BradleyMeck OpenToday to work. It does edit
the DefaultTiddlers, but for some reason nothing is automatically
opened after... I get the impression it won't render non-existing
tiddlers)

Thanx

/Mat

No, the built-in paramifier isn't smart enough to be able to apply
tags; you'll need to use one of the plugins.
