Hey folks, Happy Monday.

I'm curious what folks are using for time tracking tools when doing contract work.  I've been using TSheets (http://tsheets.com) for a while, but the free version of the app doesn't handle multiple job codes well.

Thanks,
Mark

Harvest. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Intervals is great for developers. www.myintervals.com We’ve been using it for about 18 months—built and maintained by developers who know what they’re doing.

Hello Mark,

I use a homebrew google doc and works well for me.

Hi Mark,

While it's not free, Billings by MarketCircle (OSX) is my time tracking and invoicing tool of choice. For some reason I still like handling it on a local desktop application opposed to an online database and interface. Maybe it's the monthly fees that rubs me the wrong way...

Anyways, Billings is GREAT... been using it for the last 3-years.

All the best,

That's what I've been using lately, too, but I'm going to give Tsheets Free a try.

Mark,

I've been using SlimTimer http://slimtimer.com for about a year now. It provides a tags field on the tasks which I use for tagging clients. I can run reports to filter completed tasks into billing groups. It's free.

Harvest is SO WONDERFUL.  Seriously.  Especially if you're on a Mac and use the dashboard widget.

I use OfficeTime, a huge improvement over other apps I've tried.
Highly recommended and well worth the $47; there is a free 21-day
trial. http://www.officetime.net/

I've been using Adobe Air Klok (http://klok.mcgraphix.com/klok/index.htm) with great success so far.

Good luck!
Lloyd
