Speaker: Gary Prevost, St. John's University & the College of St. Benedict, Minnesota. Rhodes University. Dr Prevost's field of speciality is revolutionary parties and social movements and he has published numerous books and articles on that subject in Spain, Latin America, and South Africa. Recent books include Social Movements and Leftist Governments in Latin America: Confrontation or Co-optation?, From Revolutionaries to Politicians: Case Studies from Africa and Latin America, and Politics in Latin America: The Power Game.
