Struggling with reformatting a date.
Report is written in BAR.PROC
Detail segment: bar.proc.dict
Field to format: std.effective.date
Data pulls to report as ex. "10/01/10"
Desired output is: no text qualifiers, MMDDYYYY

Have tried every combination found on the L and with Meditech's Help
files. All computed fields have resulted in no data being populated.
Meditech support has yet to present a solution.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Laurie,

Please try the following; Create a custom field of
xx.std.effective.date.

DAT=FREE
LEN=8
VAL=%Z.date.text(@std.effective.date,"NDY")

Please let me know if it provides the results you are asking for.

Brian

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Thank you for everyone's help with this computed field. This is what
finally worked:

DAT=INT
JFY=R
LEN=8
VAL=%Z.date.text(-...@std.effective.dates[@mnemonic,@.today+1],"NDY")

Will "@.today+1" work for you consistently (e.g. at change of month and year)? I had @.today+1 on some of my early reports and eventually discovered it didn't work. Now I use the %Z programming for adding

%Z.date.add(@.today,1)
