Konica Minolta C500 & Ikon Konica/Minolta CPP500, and 8050

Patch list required due to the 500 being similar to 8050 - a patch is
required just for the fact the toner is different. No patches installed
equal bad copy.

Environmental settings. - if your machine is at sea level in Japan with
those humidity levels you may have correct settings in your copier.
Otherwise environmental settings must be set.

Fiery X3e+ v1.1 for 8050 (Aries/Fenway)

1-G1R12 Copier locks up when copying and scanning alternately, or scan
screen on copier LCD disappears.

1-GDY6F White band appears on some Quark jobs. Also, can't delete a
FreeForm master by PS commands.

1-GJDLN Server patch and profiles to be used ONLY on newer 50 PPM
engine (this engine uses new toners. It is called the "C500 bizhub"
by KM, CPP500 by IKON). This is a server side patch and a new ICC
profile set.

1-HMYOG This patch made obsolete by 1-J44L4 - Enable text to print with
the screen determined by the Graphics object screen option. This patch
allows enabling and disabling of this feature.

1-HZHZF Some EPS or PS images do not print as expected.

1-I0VAO Text in TIFF imported into QuarkXpress prints in CMYK black
while "Pure Black for text" is ON.

1-I12S2 Mac OS 10.3.x: unable to retain input values for Fiery Job
Notes saved as Preset values. Also resolves other Mac OSX driver
problems. Not a Fiery server patch - is just a newer Mac OSX PPD set
(Mac OSX (US)PPD date is May 12, 2004).

1-I4BX2 (KM feature request) Now allows rotating an image 180 degrees
when printing with finishing options like Punching or Sorting. Also,
allows Center Fold / Center Staple and Booklet on 12x18 paper. Consists
of a Fiery server patch and a newer PC and Mac PPD set.

1-IHBL3 Issue: print as 2 copies & duplex; 2nd copy's page 1 is printed
on the back of the 1st copy's final page.

1-IHM5F Some images on printed pages appear soft or "jaggy".

1-IK80R After calibration, K text/line quality becomes poor. This patch
includes server side patch and new PC and Mac driver set. (Win2K/XP[US]
PPD date is April. 26, 2005 EF4M8U20; not WHQL)
(Mac OSX (US)PPD date is April 26, 2005)

1-INYP3 Provides printer drivers which do not automatically install Job
Monitor. This is not a server side patch - it is a just a Windows
driver set.

1-J44L4 Wrong profile was selected for Image screen= Line, Graphic
Screen= Dot. Also, request to change default halftone screen to dot
instead of line on both server and client and have text follow the
graphics setting. This patch supersedes 1-HMYOG_ON.ps patch.
1-HMYOG_OFF.ps patch should not be used anymore. Consists of a Fiery
server patch and a newer PC and Mac PPD set (Win2K/XP[US] PPD date is
July 13, 2005 EF4M8U20; not WHQL) (Mac OSX (US)PPD date is July 13,
2005)

1-JC4U0 Printing file with grayscale defined in RGB color space will
cause color clicks on copier

1-JQUJH Certain Adobe Illustrator documents that include gradients
print incorrectly

1-K6054 Incorrect document size and resolution when scanned as
200/300/400 dpi and saved as JPEG

1-K7UA8 Fiery restarts when canceling a printing job from CWS while
other jobs are waiting to be processed and held.

1-KAY90 Unable to select Folding, Center Staple and Booklet option on
Mac 10.4.2. This is a PPD change only - no server side patch needs to
be installed. These PPD changes are workarounds, not actual fixes.
Apple's 10.4.x OS introduced some Fiery print issues that were not
seen on earlier MacOSX versions. Please read this patch's release
note carefully.

1-KDBC1 Output is corrupted when printing customer specific PDF file.

A listing of patches you must have installed.

Attached is the information on using the 1-GJDLN patch.

Most important note at bottom - The matching ICC profile is also released
with this patch. Please unzip it onto a client computer and point to this
folder when you need to use it.

This to me indicates the SWAP profile which is so useful on all other
systems is not the profile to use on the Konica Minolta C500 or Ikon CPP500.
My previous experience is to use a SWAP profile on the computer for the
printer and then send to the printer and have it use SWAP and also the
internal calibration. This then provides a near match to a printing press
set up to print at SWAP settings.

Here it would appear you must use the matching ICC profile to the patch on
the computer - anyone can send me this to try as though our Ikon dealer
installed the patch we have no idea what they did with the ICC profile, no
documentation left as to it or using it.

Success, I see by attaching a file in Outlook Express I was able to upload
an attachment. Where as I do not see a method to do this from the web
interface.
