OAKLAND, CA  12MARCH09 -- On the steps of the Alameda County Courthouse, community activists in the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) protest the auction of the foreclosed home of Armando Ramos and Fernanda Cardenas.  Their home mortgage, held by the mortgage company OCWEN, had an adjustable rate.  When it went up, Ramos and Cardenas could no longer make the payments.  OCWEN then decided to auction off the home on the courthouse steps.
