We reached the school at 8 am, just in time for the flag hoisting.
The flag hoisting was at the hands of shri. shripad k., senior most BM Nashik member.
It was followed by some songs presented by the students of the school. Next, awards were presented to students who performed well in the std. 10th board exams.
Aditya G then gave a brief intro about the activities of Bharat Uday Mission. The audience consisted of mainly the students, the staff, the members of the society which manages the school and the locals.
Shri Shripad K then gave a few words of encouragement to the students.
It was followed by the main program to be conducted by us.
Breakfast was followed by a short intro to the movie by Shailendra R.
We screened the movie "Dahawi F" (Standard 10, F Division) for the students of Std. X, staff and society members.
In short about the movie:
In many schools, the divisions are made as per the supposed IQ level of the students. Students of "F" division are supposed to be the most notorious amongst all. It relates to the "Pygmalion" concept in Management. "A person will try to act as is expected from him from the society. If we keep saying that a person X is smart, then he will try to live upto that expectation. And if we keep saying that a person Y is stupid, he will have that "forget it, who gives a damn" kind of an attitude."
The moral is that all commit mistakes, but we need to accept what mistakes we committed and to rectify them. It also says, that there is more to education than just scoring good marks in exams.
The movie was loved by one and all.
The students and the staff then presented their learnings from the movie. They also thanked the BM members for sparing time and conducting this activity. All the BM members were felicitated by the management.
It was followed by a discussion between members of BM and the society as to what problems the school faces, and how we can have further joint activities to tackle the problems.
It was indeed a great experience, and one of the most successful activities of BM Nashik, and we look forward to a long term association with the school.
A meeting will be scheduled soon to discuss the positives and shortcomings in this activity, and how such activities can be made more fruitful. Details will be mailed shortly.
Looking forward to more and more participation from all the BM members, and more such activities!
Jai Hind!

5. BM BELGAUM
MISSION DHWAJA SAMMAN AT SAMATA CONVENT SCHOOL, KANABARGI BELGAUM
BM Belgaum took active participation in the MISSION DHWAJA SAMMAN as part of the national activity.
Pocket flags were distributed to all the students teachers and people present there. Plastic flags were taken away from the students since plastic flags are not to be used. We got a healthy response from the samata convent school in this activity. Students were requested not to carry pocket flags from then onwards, as it will be an insult to our flag. The school is located six kms away from Belgaum city in a place called kanabargi.
Sandeep ji explained the Flag code importance of the flag and how we should respect it. He requested everyone to maintain the flags with full respect. Later he also introduced
BHARAT UDAY MISSION to the people. He explained our visions and ideologies.
