Is medical corruption not corruption?

Is medical corruption not corruption? The Global Corruption Report 2006 has termed medical corruption to be the "handicraft of the most corrupt industry of the world". But due to the prejudices of the scientific community such issues cannot be discussed as it reflects upon their reputation.

 

Some are trying to project the issue as the fight between one system of treatment over another which is far from the truth. If there is no such comparison then how can the fullest extent of the corruption come to light? Medical corruption directly results in the corruption of the human psyche and is therefore essential to point out. Moreover the strain of medical costs forces people from all walks of life to become corrupt in order to sustain themselves.

Medicine is so inept that a great deal of money is also lost through
inefficiencies and honest mistakes, says the report.
