Rajnish ji,

I don't know why we don't use Solar energy in India. Probably the main
reason is that Americans have not thought of this promising market in
India.

Jokes apart, I don't know the exact reason. But yes, we must explore
this further. Anyone having 1st hand information?

I did some reading on solar power while I and my father was working to build a dish network. The idea was to build a satelite antenna which also worked as a solar power generator. We couldnt take it to the finish due to time constraints. But its a very good project, specially for small towns in India.

Rishikesh

Hi Rishikesh...

Sure we can start off with this project...I will send the literature on this subject I have available with me...then we can define the project and start implementing it...

It is actually being used in some rural parts of China...They are using it both as a dish antenna as well as the solar power generation plant...Since solar energy is not available all round the year and during nights, they use it for charging huge re-chargeable chemical batteries...

At the same time they use it as a receiver for radio and television channels and use an RF channel tuner for signal reception...

Regards,

-Rohit

Dear Rohit, Rishi, Mukesh and Rajnish:
This is a noble project. I feel that we should surely implement sth in
India.
First thing to start will be read literatire about it.
Some Govt companies are working on these kind of projects, but not sure
that how far they have gone, We should look into that too.
As always, i am ready to contribute in this direction.
In service of motherland,
Rupesh
