here i'm attaching a study and little bit of scientific work that was
carried on how reservations helped / deprieved economically backward
people. i've been observing most discussion is going on mere
perceptions and emotions in idealistic ways. please do some research
before airing your views. i sense reservations are going to be norm,
we have to live with it. i'm looking at what percentage of total
indian population is eligible for reservations, it's stunning fact,
54% of people are OBC, 17% SC and 5% ST (2001 census). supreme court
put an upper sealing of 50% on total reservations. (which is far less
than their total percentages together). so it shouldn't hardly matter
for people like me who are not eligible for reservations. there may be
a case where most of us without reservations compete, while those in
reservation brackets struggle to make it. i see opportunity for those
huge percentage of people to rise and contribute to the nation
building. society means not just you and me, every head counts.

i have one view on this topic.
person who are given reservation in education should not be given
rservation in jobs, as they are also getting the same quality of
education.
only person who donot get reservation in education should be given
reservation in jobs.
why i think this is that we Indians have a bad quality, untill we are
not forced to do something for survival we do not do it.
e.g before liberalisation we did not excel in anything but after 1991,
we were forced to excel to compete with the whole world, you can see
the tremendous success after that.
