In the 1980s in QLD in OZ, there were several weeks of power outages,
these happened in the afternoon/night.
The following year was a record birth year for QLD.

Shall we see an explosion of nerdy game players in 9 months?!?!?!? ;)

This story is told about every major blackout. Has it ever been
proven true?

And if the place is all full of queens, how were there any births at
all?

A small town in Eastern Washington had a high school graduating class
something like 3 to 4 times the size of an average one in 1999. That
was the graduating class for kids born about 9 months after the
eruption of Mt. St. Helens kept everyone indoors for a week or so,
mainly without power.
