New 1.5 image available for ADP1

An updated system image for Android 1.5 for ADP1 devices is now
available for download at HTC's site. This update includes the
security patch as mentioned at oCERT.

Thanks for the update regarding this security patch. I have a
question regarding the instructions.

Do we have to go through the entire update process (phone and radio
image) to do this security fix, or can we just update the phone
image. I know the instructions say to do both, but they also don't
seem to have been updated since update 1.1 and no mention is made of
this security patch.

You only need to update the system image. The radio image hasn't changed.

Hi , Jean

I have a HTC-dream ph and now i want to update my phone system image.
i want to know , is there any problem to update ??? can be damage my
phone software after that ?
if it is ok after updating and my phone can perform better , i want
to do it .
can u tell me the simple way , how to update system image of HTC -
Dream.

If you have an official ADP1 currently running an official build,
there should be no problems, just follow the instructions on HTC's
site or posted in the archives of this group.

Updating other variants of Dream depends very much on the way those
devices are managed by their providers, and there's no general rule.

This forum is dedicated exclusively to supporting the update process
for the ADP1. If you don't have an ADP1, please follow the official
support channels for your device.
