It's true to say that I am well known as a fun guy, which sounds like
'fungi', but that is a plural so I could never be 'a fungi' because that
would be incorrect. I could be 'a fungus' or 'some fungi'. And now that I
write it out loud, obviously the statement 'That Dodgy, he's some fungi'
is not only correct, grammatically, but incorrect because I'm not. If you
get my drift.

Essentially then, though, I am well known for being something that sounds
like a lot of mushrooms - more than one anyway. Other than that, I think
the connection is, at best, tenuous, and at worst, shitake.

Indeed, indeed.

Me and Mrs Dodgy moved palaces a couple of months back so the barrel
rolling has taken a bit of a back seat in favour of knocking the new
place into some sort of shape, but never fear, the barrel will resume its
rightful place at the forefront of my Sunday morning hobbies just as soon
as spring arrives.

Running is for other people. A foolhardy way to spend your time, but if
that's what you want....

Bad enough but I'm still cleaning windows and doing up the bungalow, so
let's call it mangle pain, and move on.

Ah now, I have little knowledge of gout but a pal of mine has what he
calls a mild sort of gout, and on that basis, I'll take my knee pain over
gout any day. You have mu sympathy.

In truth, if I didn't have these industrial strength pain killers, I'd be
pretty much f***ed. Probably would have had to have the new knees a long
time ago. Like you, I find the ageing process to be an extreme irritation
but at the same time I thank the good old creaking NHS for keeping me
mobile.
