Zxing for Android is based on deprecated Camera api. (http://developer.android.com/reference/android/hardware/Camera.html). IS there any plan to update to Camera 2 Api?

No plans. The existing Camera API will work and be supported for a long time. This project is mostly end-of-life now and am not planning on making any changes except to maintain.
