Not sure what you're talking about. I can scan barcodes with all these characters just fine. You're not giving any useful info, like the text, format or an example barcode.

Hi Sean

thanks for your answer
attached you can find  the actual bar code, with the correct numeric information printed above.
your reader is detecting it as

format ITF
type TEXT
84690000000778900240202405000024961473021207

where it should be
846900000007778900240202240500002490614730212071

thanks a lot for your support

The barcode really says 84690000000778900240202405000024961473021207

What's printed above does not match what is actually in the barcode.
I am not sure what these groupings are, but the "-N" things are not in the barcode. ITF can't encode anything but digits to begin with.

totally lost now.
reason I assumed the decoding was wrong is because when I input the code  to the internet banking, ti expects me to input the code as
846900000007778900240202240500002490614730212071

and not as
84690000000778900240202405000024961473021207 ( which the system does not accept)

will need to investigate

thanks a lot for your help

the solution was simple
the banking system offered two options for entering the bar-code information

option1 .  normal option  .  It expects here the full number codes ( not the dash ) as
846900000007778900240202240500002490614730212071

but there is an option 2 ( use optical bar code reader ) where the code, as read from your program is accepted as 84690000000778900240202405000024961473021207

So I am sorry to have bothered you with an "user ignorant" question.

once again my congratulations for the speed and accuracy of program.

thanks
