Don't know how difficult it would be but I would be interested in knowing if anyone else would be interested in seeing ZXING being  extended or modified to include iQR generation and decoding.

Having higher data density (10 times as much as standard QR in a smaller footprint) would extend the capability and applicability of QR from simple URL redirects (advertising)  to becoming a significant easily captured authentication technology (encryption and identity precursor identity tokens include) along the lines of a super  SPAYD    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_Payment_Descriptor
