Cannot get example running in own html page

I am trying to get the Zxing JS examples run in my environment. So i made a html page and copied and pasted the source code from some examples(like this one) and hosted it under IIS, now when i open the page via my Andoroid or IOS devices and click on 'START' button, nothing happens. The camera doesn't run. Any idea what the issue could be?
