Launching from web page no longer works after IOS7 upgrade

I'm launching the Barcode scanner app on an iPhone from a web app using a URL in the form

zxing://scan/?ret=http%3A%2F%2Ffoo.com%2Fproducts%2F%7BCODE%7D%2Fdescription&SCAN_FORMATS=UPC_A,EAN_13

This was working under IOS6. It now no longer functions under IOS7.

Is there a known solution/workaround?

FYI it works on IOS7 on an iPad but not on IOS7 on an iPhone.
