How to maintain 3:1 aspect ratio of PDF 417 barcode?

Hi,

I have able to generate the pdf 417 barcode using zxing framework.But where shall I change the code to maintain the aspect ratio exactly 3:1 of the pdf 417 barcode for suppose if i increase the columns of the barcode should enlarge as per this ratio?

Please any one could you give me suggestion on this.
