Could you say why the project is in Maintenance mode?

We plan to use the library in our solution, want to understand risks?

What is the reason of Maintenance mode - no contributors, some 3rd party component is not updated, etc.?

It's been more than a decade since this was anyone's day job to maintain, and yeah I only have time to do basic updates from this point. Expect no development.
