How to gererate QRCode for a certain version?

I would like to encode a qrcode for a certain version. But zxing can only set error correction level.
Qrencode lib can set both error correction level and version, is there any way we can use zxing to do it?

Why do you want to control version? it should be as low as possible and still accommodate the data. It can't be lower. Making it higher just makes the QR code less readable.
