Hello all�

PAPERMAN is a social venture launched to promote the spirit of recycling across the country. ( Based in Chennai )

Paper forms 60% of the waste than we throw away every year. In our country we produce 8.5 million tonnes of paper every year of which only 20% is recycled. This is really poor compared to other countries across the world ( Germany - 73% , Sweden 69%.... )

This means in our country approximately 6.8 million tonnes of paper go to waste every year affecting our eco system largely�

We identify the the paperman as the ambassador of recycling in our country who makes this 20% recycling possible. Our activities are channeled to make people understand the importance of paper recycling and the role paperman plays in it. We believe we can improve the the rate of recycling in our country by strengthening this network and making recycling an important part of our lifestyle.�

�Activities�

� Recycling/ Paper management programs designed for schools, corporates and other organizations

� Networking and connecting paper men across the country through crowdsourcing �

� Recycle Week � a week long paper retrieve drive in organizations in support of a social cause�

We are looking for Summer Interns who could be associated with us for a period of 45 days or more

A basic stipend will be provided for the interns

Skills required � Good communication, strong self-believer ( I can do person )
