Does anybody also have a problem with the UNDO command ? it seems to
perform or not perform depending on how it is invoked. For instance,
typing the word ROTATE will cause it to work properly, but when
ROTATE is assigned to a shortcut, it will not work. Same (more or
less) with other commands like COPY and ERASE.

Hennie, which version are you using? I do experience what you are
describing in the past version (ZWCAD 2008), but ever since we
upgraded to ZWCAD 2009 it is no longer a problem.

I've been told that this problem will be sorted out in the next
release due 30 April. It is now 5 May and I have no received any
notification of a new release.

I do have a release subsequent to 2009.01.23(9080), which I un-
installed because of the text dialogue box issue. I had to choose
between being able to manipulate text styles or to be able to plot
raster images. The raster images lost, hence the older version.

Hi Hennie,

Could it have to do with the size of a drawing? Maybe limited disk
space or limited memory?
I tried it here, but no problem with Undo or Redo at all.

My computer is a DELL Vostro 420 with 2 Gb memory, working on Windows
XP.

My ZwCAD vernum = 2009.05.12(10171)

I think this problem is solved by now.

No - the size of the drawing is not the problem - only 75kb.

Your effort solved the mystery - it's my setup, not memory. My
zwcad.lsp file is not standard, it's modified to load keyboard
macros, all of them short lisp routines. This enables me to operate
the program with both hands working fulltime : mouse right, keyboard
shortcuts left. It seems that ZWCad feels uncomfortable with so many
lisp routines lurking in the background. When the macros are
disabled, no problem, UNDO works perfectly.

I shall now have to find which macros can be retained without
causing ZWCad to fall over its own feet. I suspect if I disable
those that can be substituted by aliases, a lot will have been
solved.

No matter what I do, I cannot get the UNDO command to work. It is a
most frustrating state of affairs. Latest discovery is that FILLET
cannot be undone, never. The commands ROTATE, COPY, and many others
suffer the same fate. Sometimes, when I save the drawing and open it
afresh, the problem disappears just to resurface later.

Support, either from my dealer of from ZWCAd is minimal. All my
dealer has to offer is "it does not happen on our computers".

I think propective ZWCAd buyers should know this. This software is
under development and will be dysfunctional in many respects for
some time to come. Support is erratic.
