Using as an simple home alarm system

I have zVirtualScenes set up at my house with several different devices and I really like it. Kudos to all the work the developers have put in.

I was trying to think of a way to add some alarm system functionality with a few door sensors and a siren like http://www.amazon.com/Aeon-Labs-ZW080-A17-Z-Wave-indoors/dp/B00PKKM2HO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438135388&sr=8-1&keywords=zwave+siren or something. What I'd like is to develop a small web app to "arm" and "disarm" the siren or maybe have a zwave key fob do it as well. After a very cursory look, I didn't see a way to set "states" in the system like armed, or anything.

Is there any capability in the software now for things like this? Has anyone done this already and have pointers or would I need to write some custom code to provide that?

Hi, 

I think the alarm functionality is a good idea!   It could be achieved with the plug-in system in zvs too.  You would have to write a plugin that would keep track of armed and disarmed but that wouldn't be too hard at all.   Then you could probably write Javascript triggers to react differently to the arm and disarm states.
