Hello,

I am (obvoiusly) new here and to z-wave and home automatisation....
I found VZS as a nice z-wave freeware tool - and the first one I actually got to work....
But now I run into many questions...
My setup/task:
I have a "zwave.me stick C" on PC side (Windows 7), and two Fibaro units: Dimmer FGD211 and roller shutter FGRM222. I want to configure both in a way that pressing button 1 operates the light (Dimmer) and operating button 2 operates the roller shutter. What I think I have to do for that is to
(1) configure each of them so that they work with just 1 button and send a zwave message if button 2 is pressed. That should be possible via their internal config parameters. And
(2) setup a pair of associations between them to accept the respective "others" button 2 message as their "own" button 1 event.

Now, how do I do that? Is ZVS able to do that? When yes - where/how? If no - what would be the right tool?

From this forum I read, that ZVS should normally identify the type of device ( there is this list from the OZW installation) - but my installation des not identify them - reads correct device names and realizes its a dimmer (includes it and operates in the as-is config) - but I do not see access to the config params and have no clue where and how to setup associations...

Thanks for help!

Success with part 1: configuration settings can be copied from the open-z-wave adapters folder:
1 - get latest openzwave zip file and unpack the adapters config tree into the vzs installation
2 - get in users/name/Appdata/roaming/zVirtualScenes/zwcfg_xxx.xml  the  node to "enhance" and there the commanclass-tag with number 112.
3 - replace the commandclass 112 block with that from the xml file of the specific device from the openzwave tree.
4 - the same may make sense with class 133: Associations

Now I am able to control my fibaro devices as single pushbutton devices, calibrate the roller shutter etc....

Remains part 2: How do I set associations?

Help is very welcome here: Does anyone here happen to have associations set within an openzwave system and would be willing to share the associations-block of one of the nodes in his/her zwfg_*.xml? I would like to learn the correct syntax for an association-entry (and whether it is enough to put that in the xml and restart the openzwave-system?

Regards
