I saw on github that mono might be an option. Do you care to elaborate?

I'd like to use a raspberry pi as the main server for z-wave and mod_mono would be a great option. Any idea if something like this has been done successfully?

Regarding github, are you referring to this (my) project:

?

If so, the mention of Mono here is specifically tied to that client library itself, which is fully mono compatible.  Keep in mind that is just a HTTP Client implementation to the REST/HTTPApi which the zVirtualScenes controller (server) exposes.  It is not the server itself.

Mono, Windows Desktop, WP7 are all platforms supported on that library - as client devices only.

...so to elaborate.  If you can get Mono running on a PI, then you could use it as client device.  You could use the PI to read your environment using sensors (say heat) and then send device/scene commands to the server for processing (turn on a heat pump/AC).

Hi Mr Chartier,
can you halp me to understand ?

I have two Z-Stick controllers and various Wall Plug that i want to monitor and control.

I have two home and two Raspberry and i would like to create this architecture:

1) One Server where can i install zVirtualScene Server. On this ZvirtualScene i configure all devices and scenes.
2)First Home: I use your client (install it on Raspberry) that send data from wall plug to zVirtualSceneServer
3)Second Home: I use your client (install it on Raspberry) that send data from wall plug to zVirtualSceneServer.

In this way i have one server and two or more raspberry for single home.

is it possible? or this client can only read data from server ??

Thanks.
