I'm ARASAN M J from CHENNAI. I've been offered admission to the Msc Banking and Finance program at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Now, I'm confused about the Visa procedure.

A company in India is sponsoring me with both fees and stay. They've agreed to pay 3000CHF every month and have already provided me with 10000 CHF to start my study at Switzerland. Now, I don't 25000 CHF in my account. I have only 10000CHF. The remaining will be released to me in 3000CHF per month.

How do I handle this situation?

Get  a bank statement for 10000 . Get a signed declaration from your sponsor in letterhead that they will be giving you 3000 per month . Submit both to the consulate. That should be sufficient . You may confirm this with your university.

If not .. talk with friends and family and take a rotation amount for the remaining 11000. Put it in the bank get a statement and then return the money . The statement alone should suffice .

Won't it be a problem if pump in 25000 CHF all of a sudden into a savings account. I mean will the consular people be ok with it ?

A few years ago .. i did the same thing . Deposited my money in hsbc .. gave the statement to the visa people .. and kept the money in the account until i got the visa and returned it from those whom i borrowed it from . They accepted . Although im not entirely aware if procedures have changed since then .then there is demonitisation and associated rules changes to consider . So i personally think you would be better off getting a declaration from your employer where they guarantee the chf 3000 per month . Thats all the consulate wants to know usually. That you have a legal source of funds to live in switzerland .
