Hello. I ran the function finder to find a fit function to some curve points, and it picked a Peak equation as the first rank fit. However, when I try to use the equation I can't make it work. Please see the attached spreadsheet.

There was an extra parenthesis in the equation, so it's not clear to me where its mate belongs.

I wonder if perhaps there is a term missing?

Thanks!

Thanks, James. I have been puzzling over it and can't see where I am formatting it incorrectly.

Paste the following into cell B30 of your spreadsheet, this gives me the correct predicted value of 0.9922:

=((A30*$F32)^($F30-1.0)*(1.0-A30*$F32)^($F31-1.0)) / ((($F30-1.0) / ($F30+$F31-2.0))^($F30-1.0)*(($F31-1.0)/($F30+$F31-2.0))^($F31-1.0)) + $F33

I used to perform a lot of work with spreadsheets, and painfully remember that these long, in-one-cell transcriptions can be tedious and quite a vision strain.

Thanks, James, that is a big help! Sorry for the delayed response, I got distracted by some other work for a few days.
