starting a new zunzun until James returns?

I am willing to cover costs of creating a new zunzun.com with full credit to original zunzun but i really need some serious help as I only have 3 servers at work, or we host it like James did.

I believe this was his intention with sharing the data of the website and goes with his spirit of free sharing. The new website, if we can make it happen, will also be free to users.

any feedback or ideas?

no answer on anything, sadly. i hope we can restart zunzun until James is able to rejoin. 

as a side note, out of desperation, i did email him, no replies. 

next choice is snail mail. in fact, i think i will do such today to James.

again, anyone with the skill set to help rebuild the website and not adverse to receiving compensation for such, please contact me directly at terry@thecallab dot com

Hello Terry, 

I'm sorry I haven't answered your message so far. I do not have any experience in websites, but at some point when the ZunZun page was down (due to health issues of James, I think) I studied how to use ZunZun offline with the pyeq2 code.

I would have to refresh my memory but I understand how it works and I may work with the code in python if necessary. 

I think it would be awesome if we could assemble a work group to revive ZunZun (or something really similar to it) and of course, keep the spirit of free sharing as well as the credit to James.

What do you think?

I am really puzzled by lack of community response.  I know when James was losing his eyesight and did not think he could continue, that there seemed to be a lot of people with a high level of appreciation for what his site provided.  Hard to imagine even with all that is going on that there is little attention on this.

There seemed at the time a common thread of interest in getting a site going that would be able to persist beyond James efforts, he rallied, made it able to be ported but here we are....

I've used this tool for sensor technology for many years but don't have the set of skills to directly contribute except to some degree financially.  Is this something that could/should reside in something like Amazon cloud if sufficiently funded?  Any idea of what it would take to support this?

It has been quite a while and that means that the snail mail I sent was received but not answered, so we are on our own, group! let's rally
