Personsconcerned about the legality under the antitrust laws of proposed business conduct may ask the Department of Justice for a statement of its current enforcement intentions with respect to that conduct pursuant to the Department's Business Review Procedure. See 28 C.F.R. Section 50.6.

The Department believes that the business review process provides the business community an important opportunity to receive guidance from the Department with respect to the scope, interpretation, and application of the antitrust laws to particular proposed conduct. The Department realizes, however, that if the business review process is not timely, the value of the process, and therefore its utilization, may be diminished.


Two of the most frequent types of business review requests the Department has received have involved proposals to form joint ventures or to collect and disseminate business information. Because of the nature of these requests, the Department often finds it difficult to opine on such matters based solely on the information typically provided with the initial requests. Consequently, the Department must subsequently seek additional information. This inevitably adds time and expense to the business review procedure.


In an effort to expedite the business review process with respect to these two types of requests, the Department will offer parties seeking a business review determination the option of providing certain specified information and documents contemporaneously with their initial business review submissions. Where the specified information and documents are provided, and where such submissions provide an adequate basis upon which to determine the Department's enforcement intentions, the Department will make its best effort to resolve the business review request within sixty to ninety days.


All documents: 1. Reflecting or effectuating formation of the venture, including charters, by-laws, articles of incorporation, and partnership, joint venture or asset purchase agreements, or the most recent drafts of such documents;


3. Prepared within two years prior to formation of the venture, discussing, reflecting or representing the business plans or strategies of any venture participant with respect to any product or service that will be offered by the venture; and

The Review of Business is a peer-reviewed journal first published in 1964. The Journal publishes original research articles in all academic fields of business, both theoretical and empirical, that will significantly contribute to the literature of business and allied disciplines.


The Journal advocates for research articles in imminent topics, such as sustainable development, technology related business issues, and topics that enrich the interdisciplinary understanding of business.


Composition. A business tax board of review consisting of the City Administrator, the City Auditor, an employee of the City selected by the City Administrator, and two community members nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the Council. The City Administrator and the City Auditor may each deputize in writing filed with the Board for such period or for such hearings as may be desired, a person to serve as his/her designee to the Board.

One of the greatest challenges to a small business is complying with regulations that hinder its ability to grow or survive. In 2004, the State of South Carolina addressed this challenge by creating the SC Small Business Regulatory Review Committee.


The Committee is made up of 11 business owners who have volunteered their time to review current regulatory issues facing small businesses. They have the ability to either work with the agency or the General Assembly, when necessary, in getting an alternative regulation adopted if it appears that the regulation puts undue pressure on small business. There are 11 South Carolina business owners who make up the SC Small Business Regulatory Review Committee, with five being appointed by the Governor, three appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and three appointed by the Speaker of the House. The Chairs of the SC House and Senate Labor, Commerce and Industry Committees also serve as ex-officio members.

Despite the massive storm earlier and my subsequent delayed arrival, my next flight was scheduled to depart on time. Looking out of the terminal windows I could even see a few slithers of blue sky, a notable deviation from the earlier cataclysm swirling overhead.


There were a couple of kiosks set up within the gate area. It transpires that it was beholden on every passenger to visit these kiosks, have their visa documentation verified and then receive a stamp on their boarding pass. This was to be done separately and in addition to the normal boarding process.


I was so excited to finally see this cabin up close. Having spent the majority of the preceding year flying on reverse herringbone seats from the likes of Cathay, American and Qatar, it was a real thrill to see such a different cabin placed within the confines of a similar fuselage.


I have to hand it to SWISS, they deliver an extremely cohesive experience. The lounges and the onboard product are very closely aligned. The same colours, texture and shapes are visible throughout your experience with this airline. Clean lines, light wood and dark seats abound.


Much like on BA, every seat on SWISS Business class is not created equal. The cabin has a rather unusual layout whereby the majority of the seats are placed in pairs, with the more desirable single seats placed on alternating rows, along each side of the cabin.


However, upon calling the airline I discovered that three of these throne seats had become available for some reason. I had really been hoping to sit in the mini cabin of rows 4 and 5, directly behind First Class but when I was offered 8K, right near the front of the cabin, I jumped at the chance!


The little push out light is a nice touch too. There are so many different lighting options here that it feels more like a first class product than business class. On their own these little details may not seem like much but when you put them all together they make for a very aesthetically and haptically pleasing experience.
