Hey folks,

A few advertisements for Zulip community things that are happening roughly this summer:

* We've been accepted into Google Summer of Code again this summer, which is awesome!  There's already a ton of awesome contributors who've arrived interested in participating.  We are looking for more mentors.  If you're a member of the Zulip community and are a reasonably experienced engineer (even if you're not experienced with Zulip development thus far) and are interested in mentoring, let me know and we can discuss!  And if you're a college student, you should consider applying :).

* Even though Outreachy has been super awesome for Zulip (), we're not doing Outreachy Round 14 (the summer round), just because we don't have the bandwidth to manage both GSoC and Outreachy at the same time.  But most Outreachy candidates are also eligible for GSoC, so consider applying there.

* We're planning what I'm informally calling "the Zulip Summit" at PyCon this year in Portland, where a few dozen Zulip contributors from around the world gather in one place to meet each and build some awesome things.  The main event for us will be the 4 full days of open source sprints (May 22-25), but a lot of folks will be at the conference (the 3 days before that) as well.  You should come!  We're planning on renting a few shared houses for Zulip folks to hang out together when not at the conference, so let me know if you're coming and interested in that.
