Hello,
To be honest, Andreas Rudophs ZUGFeRD Manager is already now better than our Quba ever was.
It is also features better software architecture since it's written in Kotlin which allows direct access to all Mustang features, including e.g. offline validation and invoice creation (Quba is written in Javascript and Mustang in Kotlin-compatible Java).
The visualisation is basically the only bigger feature he so far
omitted. At least how we would expect it to work with CII and UBL
examples from corpus.
The plan is to meet Andreas this Friday, March 7th, 14:00-15:00
CET on this
webex to ask him if we can add french translation and
persuade him to start calling the whole thing "Quba 2.0".
The meeting will not be recorded, there will not be a second one
and I wont take or publish minutes - and of course participation
is free of charge. We can entertain I believe max 25 participants,
which should be plenty.
Needless to say, we need contributors who would help him localize, add visualization, and details like allowing e.g. the validation also of XML-only files.
This is where you come into play: If you ever even remotely consider contribution to ZUGFeRD Manager, Mustang, and/or Quba please be as kind as to join the meeting on Friday!
Of course that would move the quba-maintainership from usegroup to openindex. For which I would be very grateful: I (Jochen) am still committed to this e-invoice thingy (and I contributed the english translation), but if Andreas would really be as kind as to take over I could focus on working under the hood, where I have more fun, e.g. actually visualizing the stuff correctly (read e.g. additional ZUGFeRD Extended attributes).
It's actually quite charming that someone wrote such a nice open-source GUI for my open-source software: Thanks!
see you there, hopefully,
Jochen
